Funny thing.....in recent days I've been asked by two longtime friends about writing a book. It's something I've always wanted to do but just am not confident enough to pull it off
I have been lucky enough to meet lots of important people especially in the world of sports and have some decent stories to tell. What do you think? Should I attempt it? The jury is still out
Monday will be my 13th wedding anniversary to my sweet wife Joan. I can honestly say she is what keeps me going in this crappy world. I love her with all my heart and she loves me.
Tim Asbury, lifelong best friend, just got engaged. Timmy, I can only hope you can be as happy on your marriage as I am. It's not always easy but we have the "etch a-sketch rule". When we have a bad day or a conversation leads us down a path to a argument we reserve the right to call etch-a-sketch , shake our heads just like you would the game and start over. It sounds silly but it's worked all these years
It's been almost two years since we lost my father, with a new football season approaching I cannot help but have memories of him. He never missed a game and rarely missed a practice. I owe all my accomplishments on the football field to my parents and in particular my dad. It also causes a different type of relationship. One in which a misses tackle or block can cause words to be exchanged. A very complex relationship to say the least
Parents of kids playing sports.......it's a fine line between hoping for the best for your child and living the game thru your child
Until next time, feel free to comment or ask questions and take the time to say a little prayer for my friend Tim as he embarks on a path of matrimony Tim is a good man that deserves to be loved for I assure you that he has love to give
Mickey
