In my lifetime there have been many cowardly, terrorist actions against the USA and around the world. Even though i believe all these actions to be low down and despicable, the one thing most of these events had in common was some misguided cause. Even bank robbers are committing crime for a reason albeit a poor one of getting Ill begotten gains from someone else's sweat and hard work.
Let me be clear, very clear, that I do not condone nor approve if any criminal activities in the least. The point I'm trying to make is that these criminals in the past, in some warped kind of way, thought they had a noble and just cause for what they were doing. The Munich olympic hi jackers, the PLO , among others, thought they were being wronged by society in some way be it religious or personal but they acted for their cause. What was the cause for these two cowards from Boston? They were welcomed into the greatest country in the world even with all our problems.
The 175 innocent people injured and 3 people killed had no ties to these yahoos and in no way hindered their opportunities to succeed in our country. Even if they had, it gave these criminals no right to do what they did to our innocent citizens enjoying a day of fun and for some a day of great accomplishment and personal greatness and accomplishment. A day that should have been filled with photos of smiling competitors replaced by images of a cowardly act that shook us to the core. I have said many times before that I believe in due process of law however when you knowingly commit crimes such as these your rights end there. The sundown law is now in effect
A young police officer, murdered while sitting in his car. This young man had many days ahead of him where he would be helping people. The same people that take officers for granted until they are needed, it's what he loved to do. Sir, I thank you for your service and your sacrifice
These acts were committed by two cowards, two young beings, I can't call them men because real men don't act like this, for no good or just reason ruined many families for no reason except their own satisfaction and I say that is unsatisfactory
To the law enforcement involved, a sincere thank you and a job well done. We hate to have to call on you but are thankful for your skill and professional training that keeps us safe
Future terrorists, save us the trouble. We don't condone your actions, you are wrong and go someplace else and blow yourself up. Have at it
